BRINGING YOUR VISION TO LIFE
Why use a garden designer? This is a great question. People contact me for many different reasons:
BUILDING AN EXTENSION
The build of an extension changes the shape and dynamics of a space which was easy to deal with before but no longer looks right
Finally getting around to sorting out that awkward corner/slope/shady spot but how?
Some clients have an extensive wish list but don’t know how to put it all together.
Up-coming events like garden weddings forces people to scrutinise their plot and want help making it look presentable.
Often with new built houses the garden is basically non-existent which can be overwhelming
Sometimes there is a need for simplifying the current garden to make more of the space available whilst reducing the work load
Whatever the reason, my services as a garden designer have helped many clients achieve the outdoor space they wanted: tailored to their needs, solving the problems of awkward angles and level changes. I can help by giving shape to a vision clients have, but can’t translate, combining practical needs with imaginative designs and give each garden its own individual style.
After 10 years of practise I now have a great portfolio of work. Most of the projects involve the expertise of Andy Wicks, a greatly experienced landscaper and as a team we turn the clients’ wish list into a design on paper and ultimately into a real life version of that design; solving problems together along the way and making the most of the available budget.
The icing on the cake is always the planting: whether traditional, contemporary, shade lovers etc. depending on aspect and soil conditions, creating schemes for the low maintenance gardener as well as the green fingered enthusiast!
