• Contemporary in style • Screening from neighbours • Shed/studio for him/her • White flowering plants • Lawn for the dog • Front garden (roadside) for dining and lounging • Low level maintenance
• Creating a good sized terrace outside the new glass extension with sweeping curved steps down • Bespoke fencing to provide privacy, curved so it waves high where it’s needed and low where it’s not • Define levels: lower level for the kids, a midlevel for planting areas and access around the house and a high level for access in and out of the house and entertaining • Connecting the levels by laying a ‘river’ of lawn from the very top of the garden to the lower part of the garden. • Bespoke screening; high where it’s needed, low where it’s not
• Black bamboo and Stipa gigantean to break up the view towards the house • Bronze grasses and Phormium ‘Platts Black’ in the flower beds for structure • A mixture of flowering perennials and foliage plants complement the scheme
Marianne’s enthusiasm, experience & creativity helped us to totally redesign our garden when we recently extended our house. Her designs transformed an average sloping plot into a multi-tiered and very beautiful, useable garden that the whole family love
A stylish garden with lots of interest complements the new extension which, painted white, sets of the planting really well. The fencing and screening looks sculptural whilst doing their job to prevent overlooking others as well as being overlooked.
The flow of grass connects the different levels which are more defined rather than sloping down; creating curves in the lawn enhances the idea of a ‘river of grass’.
The lower part of the garden has been left to the children; plenty of room to play football and use the trampoline.
